Conditions of participation for canoe courses

1. Limitation of Liability

Participation in the course is at your own risk. Claims for damages can only be asserted in the event of gross negligence on the part of the organizer. Before the start of the course, a declaration of this limitation of liability must be signed by the course participants (in the case of minors, the signature of a legal guardian is required).

2. Swimming, age and health status

All participants are swimmers, at least 12 years old and free from health restrictions that fundamentally prevent the practice of paddling. Any health impairments that could endanger the safety of the participants during the course must be reported confidentially to the course leader before the course begins.

3. Drugs and Alcohol

Participation is excluded if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol or other substances that affect the safe conduct of the course.

4. Safety Equipment

Life jackets are always worn on the water. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in perfect condition and donned correctly. Life jackets will be provided by the organizer if required. Any defects must be reported to the course management immediately.

5. Equipment

Equipment and boats are not included in the course fee unless specifically stated in the course description. These can be rented from the organizer. Otherwise, you can also use your own material, as long as this does not stand in the way of a safe implementation of the course. The participants undertake to handle the equipment and boats provided with care.

6. Personal equipment

Participants are responsible for bringing suitable clothing for the weather, sufficient drinks and sun protection. Bring a change of clothes in case you capsize.

7. Registration and course fee

The advertised course fees include the currently valid VAT. Registration is binding upon receipt of the booking confirmation. The course fee and any additional fees for equipment, etc. must be transferred to the bank account specified in the email after receipt of the booking confirmation. A cancellation of the booking is only possible for an important reason and must be done immediately when this reason becomes known.

8. Implementation and course location

If a course cannot take place for reasons that prevent it from being carried out safely (e.g. storm warning), the organizer will offer an alternative date. Courses can also be relocated to another location for logistical and weather reasons.
